“Kanye West and Beyoncé are the two most popular artists candidates listen to before heading into a job interview, according to a new study.”
While reading LinkedIn this morning, I was stopped in my tracks and immediately stopped planning the original blog post I was writing and wanted to focus on this.
Now, I’m not *against* Queen Bey or Kanye – but I’ve got my list of jams that I love to pump on my car stereo or my Google speaker before a Zoom meeting (#hello2021). As I’m sure we all do.
Why?
Because music makes us feel good and according to a study by The Society For Personality And Social Psychology claim listening to bass-heavy music could improve a candidate’s performance during a job interview. (Or even a meeting).
Think about music at events, how they made you feel, music at a wedding, music at a corporate event, they evoke some sort of memory.
I love that about music.
My selection is very eclectic. You’ll probably raise your eyebrows and think, “Does Brooke listen to THAT?”
YES. Indeed I do.
And if you’re looking for some hype tunes, you don’t need to look any further.
BROOKE’s MOOD BOOSTING TUNES…
Yes, I’ve created a playlist, and you can listen to it below.
You can thank me later.
At a time when we need some motivation, something to help us “get through the day”, I hope this music does that. Even if it is to have a giggle at my eclectic taste!
